Those Eyes...

I gaze into the sea from its shores of refuge,
With hypnotized eyes and soul,
As I see the day amalgamate with dusk,
And the water unleash its beauty and glory,
I observe it with a keener eye.
The resplendent red water seems to be omniscient,
Aware of my naivety, of the massive unrest inside,
I feel as if the sea is smiling at my plight,
Laughing at my diffidence,
But suddenly…..
As if the sea conspires to inspire,
Its shimmering water reminisce me,
Of your dusky eyes,
Its serenity of their placidity,
Its purity of their innocence,
Its beauty of their elegance
And thereon I recall…

Nourishing Eyes,
Which are not just eyes, but soul.
Exquisite Eyes,
Which can tame anyone with authority.
Heavenly Eyes,
Which have an awe-inspiring vastness.
Alluring Eyes,
Which can devour anyone in their intensity.
Charming Eyes,
Which have the freshness of the morning dew,
Hallowed Eyes,
Which have a holy glare.
Articulate Eyes,
Which can speak volumes without being verbal
Wonderful eyes,
Which are indeed a wonder.
Lush Eyes,
Which need no ostentation
August Eyes,
Which I will cherish and love forever.

I can still see the shadow of your eyes,
On the face on the sky,
As I take the first step back,
I promise to come back to this refuge,
And submit myself to your eyes again.

u r the first one to compliment me on that...most of the ppl say i am verbose..... :( ....but now i kno that i have found one true audience other than the person who is my muse who can comprehend the not-so-hidden ideas and emotions behind those not-so-rare words.

@ speak-my-mind
Thanks for your appraisal and honesty. But in my opinion, poetry is not always about description and detail, rather it is more about flair, elegance and appeal. It is about literally going gaga over something or the other and serving it adorned with the jewels of words. And it is more about subtlety and ostentation rather than crispness. Wat say?

As I said, poetry is believed to be poet-personal, so you've got all rights to stand by our opinion, whilst all praise and critique!
